Audition for the Minnesota District

And the winner is...
Janalyn Bump, soprano, received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2008, and is currently at the University of Minnesota in the Masters program for a Vocal Performance degree. Ms. Bump has won several awards during the past 10 years, including Solo Ensemble Gold Medals for District and State, Outstanding Soloist at the Luther College Dorian Festival, National Association of Teachers of Singing First Place, Concerto Competition Winner at the U of WI-Whitewater, and Finalist in the Neal Silva Young Artist’s Competition. While at the U of WI-Whitewater, Ms. Bump sang several musical and opera roles such as Mabel from Pirates of Penzance, Clara in Signor Deluso, Nella from Gianni Schichi, and Miss Silverpeal from The Impresario. She sang Queen of the Night and Elettra with the University of Minnesota Opera Theatre Scenes, as well as Laurey from Oklahoma! with the Beaver Dam, WI Area Community Theatre.
